As promised, here are a few pictures of Friday morning with Sadie and Nikos. Lately he has had quite the way with the ladies, somehow he convinced Sadie to push him around on his lion. I mean, he didn't even stop to put down his coffee (water) cup.
Friday's Romios-hosted EBHH came off without a hitch - despite the fact that Nikos decided to delay his three hour nap until 2pm (after chatting away in his crib for an hour and fifteen minutes), causing us to exit Trader Joe's with happy hour supplies at 5:48pm. IN THE POURING RAIN.
I think EBHH was a success, mainly because I do NOT have the pictures to prove it. These are the only pictures I have.
I finally made it to Nikos' Have a Ball class at the Y. Nikos and Brooke have a half hour class on Saturday mornings where they basically get to play with different types of sports equipment and generally just have fun.
First up, a little obstacle course where they follow along on a set path.
Brooke decides to mix it up a little bit by army crawling along the course. She is very "outside-the-box." I think this trait will work well for her later in life.
Action shots!
Taki decided that I dressed Nikos inappropriately for class and took his sweater off because it was getting in the way of his ball-handling skills. So now he looks a little white trash.
The real star of the show.
Jack gives Nikos and Brooke some sporting tips.
Olive observes from the safety of her carseat. No photos please.
During free play Brooke discovered a perfect little platform to jump off - the kids had a ball taking turns for their jump. Luckily their teacher didn't seem to mind, since I am pretty sure there was a clause somewhere in my Y contract prohibiting my children from playing on the machines.
Nikos was determined to stick his landing (love how Brooke is studying his form.)
Having a ball is exhausting work so we stopped off at Starbucks for some nourishment afterwards.
The next thing on Niko's social calendar was a visit from his friend Brayden (along with his parents, Gail and Christian.)
I know this isn't a great picture but it helps illustrate how tall Brayden is - crazy! As a reminder, Nikos is 23 months old in this picture and Brayden is fifteen months old. From our clumsy job trying to measure them Brayden is at least an inch taller than Nikos and about four pounds heavier.
While the adults watched the fabulously exciting Kentucky Derby we set the camera on auto and had it snap a bunch of shots of the kids. Here are the best of the batch.
Yikes, sorry this post is vacation-long.
