Last Wednesday we took Olive to her pediatrician for her three week checkup. She did really well, not too much crying at all, even when we stripped off all of her clothes to weigh her.
Here is a shot of her on the scale (you'll notice that, unlike Nikos, she'll take the pacifier. We can't decide if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I mean, it is fantastic when we give it to her and it soothes her, but I am already dreading weaning her off of it!)
At twenty one days old, this is how she measured up: 8lbs 2oz (up 1lb and 1oz since birth), 21 inches (up 1/4 inch since birth) and head size of 14.25 inches. On the growth charts she's at 33% for weight, 66% for height and 46% for head size.
And you knew I'd do the comparison post, right? Nikos went in for his pediatrician checkup at sixteen days old and these were his stats: 5lbs 15oz (up 11oz since birth), 20 inches (up 1/4 inch since birth) and head size of 13.5 inches. Taki was nice enough to point out that even though Nikos was five days younger and 2lbs and 3oz smaller than Olive, his head was only .75 inches smaller.
Apparently I was still too much of a novice parent to bring the camera to the doctor's appointments at this point (hey, you are lucky I remembered to bring Nikos!) to the picture I dug up is from a few days earlier, when Nikos was 11 days old.

No comment section on your next post so I'll say here that Marco squats on the bouncy chair and jumps up like it's a springboard. Olive might be lying on our floor if the springs give out.
