Sand and Straws

Last Thursday Nikos and I made the short trip into the city to meet up with Gina, Liz and Liz's sister Eileen and all of their kids. We met them at Crissy Beach where we were able to enjoy not only each others company but the fabulous weather as well. Here are a few shots of the day. Sadly, from the photos it appears that it was only Nikos, Sadie and I at the beach. I am counting on Liz to post the rest of them on her

Nikos was so excited to see our friends at the beach that he fell asleep in the car on the way over, while clutching his beloved Starbucks straw.

Here Nikos ditches us to play with a stranger (apparently their blanket had better toys -- I know what you are thinking, better than a Starbucks straw??) He looks like he is practicing his signature grass move (lift up both legs so they don't touch the lawn at all costs), but I think he is actually about to tip over backwards.

Back on our towel, Nikos shares his favorite toy with Sadie. And I use the term share loosely. It was more like he would let her touch it for a second and then he would yank it back. Sweet kid.

Here Nikos found Makenzie's Giants hat on the blanket and he stuck it on top of his own hat. I blame Jack for this since he is always putting random things (shoes, cars, etc.) on top of the kids heads.

Before we pack it in we stop for a photo with the bridge in the background.
