Totland, Totland, Wonderful Girl and Boy Land...

This morning we took a leisurely walk up to Starbucks and then on the way back stopped by Berkeley's Totland Park. The park is stocked with tons of outdoor toys for the kids - both the ones built on the playgrounds as well as various other toys that have been donated through the years. With the beautiful weather the park was packed with families and Nikos had a great time trying out some new toys and people watching.

This is Take 2 for this picture. About a minute earlier Taki was playing photographer and I was posing Niko on the little bouncy thing. I left Niko on it by himself and stepped out of view of the picture (bad hair day.) Niko was holding on the same place he is here and he just kind of swung forward and then landed in a seated position (or as Taki said, he "stuck" the landing) right in front of the toy. Luckily he didn't cry, just sort of sat there, so I took the opportunity to plop him back on (this time with Taki acting as a spotter.)

Nikos loved loved loved his first real experience on a ride-on toy (see video below.) He has tried out the ride-on lion that we have at home, and Brooke's firetruck, but both are still a little bit too tall for him and we have to spend a lot of time holding him on the toy. This one was just right!

Enjoying some time in a boat...and in the sand.
