Garden Time

On Wednesdays Niko's class spends most of the day in the school's garden. They start out the morning in their classroom and a music guy comes by, then they have snack and walk down to the garden. Around lunchtime they go back to their class, eat and nap. After their nap (or "rest") they had back to the garden for more fun.

When Olive and I got their for pick up he wanted nothing to do with us. Instead he showed me his rope and proceeded to tie off the little footbridge with some sort of trip wire contraption. Nice.

Securing his knots.

Next he wrangled one of his friends into towing him around in the wagon.

Niko then gave Olive a ride.

And this cute picture (sorry for the iphone shadow!) was on the sign out sheet. Every day they write up a synopsis of what the kids did during the day and they usually include pictures.

It included a note that said that Nikos harvested beans from the bean pods.

Love the fact that Nikos wears his gardening gloves while tying the rope and riding in/pulling the wagon!
