LA Roadtrip - Leg 3

The 4th day of our roadtrip found us driving the short drive from Long Beach to San Diego to visit Aunt Annette. After we arrived we decided to take the kids down to the lake to feed the ducks. They loved it!

Walking to the lake

Annette gave both of the kids two slices of bread and instructed them to tear it up and throw it to the ducks.

Yes, Olive threw the entire slice in one piece. Ha.

Like brother, like sister - Olive mimics Nikos on water level. Of course he was in rainboots and she was in the equivalent of baby Uggs - stylish but not waterproof.

Check out how wet Niko's pants are! He totally went in so far that the water was over his boot level. He turned around and said "Too far Mama?" Ha.

Not to be outdone Olive went in pretty far herself and toppled over a few times - luckily they were having such a good time they didn't care that they were wet.

Olive and Aunt Annette. Love Olive's expression in these!

Here's a video of the action - and before you tell me, I tried to get her to keep a bow in her hair but she was having none of it.

The next morning we enjoyed a fabulous breakfast in downtown San Diego and then went to the Children's Museum (right next door to the breakfast place!) for a few hours of fun. I was really impressed that the museum had completely new exhibits from the time we were there previously - June 2009. Once again I was stoked that our Habitot pass earned us free access to this awesome facility.

My little artists.

Annette and Olive.

We were sad to see the VW bug gone - but they had some new structures to paint so we got over it quickly!

Back to present day...

Checking out the transportation feature.

Warning: Vernie you may get a little carsick watching this video.

Fun cherry blossom trees were the kids got to create their own blossoms.

Playing on the Dino Xylophone.

And we ended with some bubbles!

We love San Diego! Stay tuned for the last leg of our trip - the OC!
