Back to the Disney Posts!

After spending most of the day in Disneyland we walked over to California Adventure a few minutes before 5:00. We had dinner reservations at Ariel's Grotto that included special seating to the water and light show later that night.

On our way over Brookie fell asleep in her stroller.

Nikos and I spotted Mickey and grabbed a pic.

We also posed with the characters from Cars (I don't think either of us has seen this movie.)

Nikos poses with the big ferris wheel (aka scariest ferris wheel ever.)

Next up dinner. I was thrilled to order a mojito and Nikos was happy to cheers me.

Here is our insane dessert platter.

Both kids were super excited when their little birthday cakes were delivered and the staff sung to them. LOVE the look on his face!

After dinner the kids were excited to hit up some rides.

They posed in the Toy Story box.

Next up we rode the ferris wheel. The wheel is like a regular wheel with enclosed cages, but every other cage is on its own loop, so when the big wheel turns the cage also rotates on its own oval (swinging forward to the point it seems you are just going to fall - crazy!) We all had a great time and the kids did really well - which Katie and I thought was amazing since we were even a little scared!

After our ferris wheel ride we headed over to Bugs World and went on a few rides there. Then it was back over to watch the water and light show. The reserved seats were great because we only had to arrive 10 minutes before the show started and we still got great seats.

After the water show (which was amazing!!) we walked back across the park to our hotel. I was really proud of the kids for doing so well in the park all day - despite the fact that we didn't get back to our hotel until around 11pm!

I can't believe that you have not seen "Cars" -- it is a good movie -- at least I think so -- it is one of my favorite kids movies. You'll have to check it out!

Great photos, but I especially LOVE the 2nd pic of Nikos with Mickey in CA Adventure.
