Oh To Be in Preschool
A glimpse into Niko's school life.
Throughout the year Niko's classroom has been a work in progress. When the school year started the walls were mostly bare, the teachers told us that they liked to start decorating with the students, after they learned where their interests lie. It has been really cool to see the classroom grow and change.
Nikos' 1st self portrait - love his big smile and all his hair. One of his teachers told me she thought it really reflected his personality.
Painting project - you should be able to click on these pictures to enlarge them if you want to see them closer. The class has been big into painting lately and often Nikos will come home a different color. He seems to enjoy being green.
Some artwork
This quote is part of their superheroes project.
What? Not sure where he gets that from since he loves to jump (in puddles, off steps, on trampolines, etc.)
The class has been very into trains all year and they are currently building a train track and platform that will reside in the school's big garden.
Not quite sure about this next one - I'll have to ask one of his teachers when I drop him off.
And finally, the school has a chicken coop and right now his class gets to keep some of the chicks in their classroom.

Party LIke a 2 Year Old
The morning of Olive's party I tried to con her into a little photo shoot - this was the best that I could get.
Oh man - this should serve as a lesson to any of you to never take a picture with Gail. I mean, did I forget to put makeup on that day??
Mel made the *best* Princess Olive cakepops for Olive's birthday. They looked awesome and were so delicious!
Since I realized I couldn't shove a candle into a cakepop I also picked up some mini icecream sandwiches (thank you 3rd trip to Target in one week).
Olive couldn't get the candle blown out so we called in reinforcements.
Marco enjoys an icecream sandwich.
Like father like son.
Marco and Brookie enjoy Cakepops!
Next up: pinata. Youngest to Oldest (I missed a few kids - even Olive!)
Will - Turns 3 this month
Braden - 3 yrs
Marco - 3 yrs
Sadie - 3 yrs
Kira - 3 yrs
Reese - 3.5 yearsNikos - 3.5 yrs
Mason - 5 yrs
Carnage (no Babies were pummeled during this frenzy.)
Pillage
Clearly the kids are into me.
Jumpy house!
And finally - some candid shots.
Steve and Reesey
Peter, Aunt Irene and Papouli
Would love to eavesdrop on this conversation.
Maile cooks something up in the kids kitchen.
Gail and BradenAnd Olive bids her guests adieu.
PS. Taki was at the party, apparently just hiding from the camera.

3.11
Big excitement on Friday for Olive's birthday. After Olive woke up from her three hour nap we took a trip to Costco (my third in a week - aahhh!) for a few last minute party items. Nikos also decided he wanted to get Olive's present there - luckily I steered him away from the jumbo jar of pickles and he ended up picking the dvd Minnie's Masquerade Ball. Olive was thrilled - as evidenced below.
Next up, Starbucks for a nilla. The barista heard that it was Olive's birthday so she handed the kids two complementary cakepops - so nice!
We jammed home so we could make it in time for Niko's (1st) preschool playdate to arrive and while the boys played trains Olive indulged in a few minutes of her new dvd.
She quickly decided that she wanted to be the belle of the ball and went to join the boys playing with moonsand - and drawing with chalk.
Tune in tomorrow for party footage!
