My parents generously offered up their timeshare in Tahoe for the weekend and we jumped at the chance to take the kids - Olive for the first time! Taki took Friday off and we headed up a little after noon. We made great time and were cruising down Pioneer Trail at 3:30pm when poor little Nikos (NoNapNikos may I add - even three hours after his usual naptime) pukes ALL OVER. I'm now officially calling it carsickness. This is the third time he has puked on a car ride (second to Tahoe), yup, those are my genes!
After a quick clean up of everything we were two minutes down the road and to our destination. Nikos was quickly over feeling sick and very excited to stay in the "hotel."
It was cold out when we arrived so we bundled the kids up for a walk around the So. Lake "Village."
Saturday morning we headed over to Starbucks for some Peppermint Mochas and Hot Chocolate.
After walking around again we made our way back to the timeshare for lunch and naps for the kids. Okay, naps for all of us. After lunch Nikos found his new favorite place in the timeshare.
Cute sibling shot.
Olive shows off a new skill - sitting up! It's still shaky but she is attempting it!
We bundled up again for a walk down to the lake.
No idea what was so interesting out in the water...
Nikos enjoyed the playground.
Next I need to explain the pants. I brought up two pairs of pants for Nikos, one pair of sweats (currently covered in puke and in the washer) and one pair of 12-18 month jeans that, while Nikos was running down the hall FELL OFF OF HIM because the waist is too big. Oh and the length of those is too short. Perfect. So what is the solution? Put Nikos in a 3-6 month pair of Olive's pants. Yup, the waist fit.
We told him they were baseball pants to save a little of his dignity. Of course that is sort of void since I am posting it on the blog. Bad momma.
More Tahoe to follow!
