Go Eagles! I mean...Giants!

Nikos warms up for the Superbowl by watching the Puppybowl on Animal Planet. Seriously, that show is a must watch. I could barely tear myself away.

Here I am pretending that Marco is my baby. Doesn't he look more like my baby than Nikos does? At least with that dark hair anyway.

Marco Cecchin, Reese Grochol, Nikos Romios and Brooke D'Angelo go in for a huddle at half-time.

Moving On...

Thursday, February 7th will be my last day at Benefit Cosmetics. It has been a good run, but it is time to move on. I accepted a Supply Chain Manager position at Method. I start on Monday the 11th and am excited about the change. I am most excited about working in the city as opposed to the gett of west Oakland. The day I gave notice, a father of three was shot to death at the roach coach across the street while waiting for his carne asada burito. The 3rd murder on that block in the four years that I spent at Benefit. But I digress...

For those of you in the city, I'll see you at Happy Hour!

Bath a la Bosco

Sometimes when we don't have time to give Nikos a bath we just let Bosco do the work for us.

Meatballs and Cannibals

This past Saturday Jeff, Sarah and Marco came over for spaghetti and meatballs. Taki decided to make it since Nikos was officially able to nibble on meatballs.

I can't remember why Taki wanted to take a picture of Marco next to the plate of meatballs but I am pretty sure that a bottle of wine had something to do with it.

In a brief respite from sticking anything and everything in his mouth, Nikos takes the time to pose with Taki and Marco.

Hmm. Sizing him up or gazing adoringly? You decide.

Uh oh, the first sign that the little monster is insatiable.

Nikos goes in for the kill.

Still hungry after nibbling on Marco's toes, Nikos tries his hand at meatballs. His expression pretty much says it all.

The new family at dinner.

Here's a great shot of Marco in his toga...er, swaddle. Here the little Caesar is blessing our dinner.

Open Mouth, Insert ______

So while we are not having much luck getting a picture of the two elusive teeth, we do have many opportunities to catch him in the act of chowing down on something. Please let me introduce you to the unfortunate cast of characters that get unceremoniously shoved into Niko's mouth.

Teething Moose from Aunt Annette (note the Boppy-Jail).

Monkey's Tail.
Celery.
Pineapple.
Last but not least, meatballs.

Seeking: FSTSO

You: Generous, Kind, Ties to Fresno State
Me: In need of a tshirt. This event most likely occurred in the latter months of my pregnancy or post-Nikos.

Dear Friend,

I have enjoyed our tshirt for X number of months now. I have slept in it a few times and have even lounged around the house. However, I feel that it is time for this tshirt to return to its rightful owner. Not that I am not grateful, it’s just that by keeping you I undermine my argument with Taki that we need to curtail our tshirt consumption (READ: get rid of some of the 15 SI Alumni tshirts residing in the top drawer.) FIFTEEN. Seriously. He has only been an alumnus for 11 years. How does one end up with 15 shirts in 11 years? I lay awake at night thinking about it. Are they like gremlins? When you add water to them do they multiply? Does he secretly ransack Jack and/or Jeff’s closets when we visit? Are all those trips to the bathroom really covering up his SI tshirt addiction? We may never know.

Back to the matter at hand. Here’s a photo in case I have had your tshirt for so long (totally possible) that you have forgotten what it looks like.

A Little Rain Never Hurt Anyone

We braved the rain last week to take Nikos on a walk to Starbucks (naturally). He LOVED it. He was totally into the fact that he could see everything and he enjoyed watching the rain falling on his sweet little rain cover. Taki and I, on the other hand, had raindrops falling on our head(s), which was not so sweet. Bosco even got in on the action (he is standing behind the stroller in his red slicker). Yes, my dog has his own raincoat.
